Is there any correlation between A Positive or Peak OPK and ovulation?

Like, can the egg be released just from your first Positive? Or is it more likely that the egg isn’t released until you get your peak?

I was expecting my positive and peak to be tomorrow and Wednesday so, in my mind we were going to BD Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday or Friday... but, I got my first positive opk at 12:50 today... we BD last night but, we won’t be going to bed at the same time tonight so, we probably won’t end up BDing again until tomorrow night...

So that’s why I’m wondering if I can ovulate 12-36 hrs from 12:50 today or if I won’t ovulate until 12-36 hours after the peak?
