yup ! last year a friend of mine did the same thing. not only that but he crashed it and then left it, the police picked it up and took it to the tow yard. and it was my first day on vacation in 2 years ! all i got was a “i lost your car text”. when i came back i made him pay the $4000 tow fee AND fix my car

You gave him permission to use it not ruin it. Unless it was an accident where the other person was at fault, he should be willing to own up to his mistakes and pay for the consequences of his actions.

What happened? Do you have insurance? I’d expect they would pay the deductible, minimum if it was their fault. Is their a police report?

Friend or not if he ruined whether it was by accident or on purpose he should still help you pay for it cars aren’t cheap

You let some one use your car and I’m assuming it’s uninsured so you are at fault for taking that risk...  they probably assumed it was insured  this happened to my brother and the other person ended up paying the towing and fees but not for the car ..
