NIPT ?

Hey ladies...I know every doctors office is different but I was just wondering. We ARE going to pay out of pocket for NIPT. That said, my first ultrasound is in 2 weeks (so close, yet so far). I have a telehealth tomorrow to just basically confirm pregnancy, figure out due date, discuss medical history, etc. 
Will my NIPT occur at my first ultrasound? I will be over 10 weeks then. Does my bloood work occur at the OBGYN office or do I need to go to a lab to get that done? This is all new to me.

I had my done at about 10 weeks and had my blood drawn at the lab same day and got my results about a week later via email

I think it depends on your dr. My OB is in a small private clinic so I had to go to the genetics lab at the children’s hospital to do my blood draw for my NIPT.

Also, im in canada and nipt isnt covered so i.paid 225 out of pocket.

My nipt bloodwork was done at my fertility.clinic where ive been going for USnds and she send the blood to a lab that.specifically does nipt blood results. I also did my 10 week scan the same day.

I was told today you can't do both the ultrasound and the NIPT bloodwork

If ultrasounds will be your only in person visits they may do it then. With my first I had to go to a lab to get it done and with my second I switched doctors and they did it in office. So that part depends.
