No more ultra sounds ?

Question

After my anatomy ultrasound I asked one of the OBs when would be the next ultrasound and she said there wouldn’t be. Is that true ? 
I’m 21 weeks.

This is fairly normal if you are a low risk pregnancy.

Totally normal. I’m super fortunate because my OB’s practice does an ultrasound at every visit. This is definitely not standard though. 
My first pregnancy, all I had was the initial dating scan and the anatomy. That seems most typical. I’m in US.

I was told the same thing! No more ultrasounds after my anatomy scan but I’d assume there would be at least one more towards the end to check the position of the baby? I guess we’ll see 😁

This is my 4th baby and I've always had an ultrasound around 30-32 weeks to check position of baby. I'm in Canada.

With my first I had one at 12 weeks and 20 weeks and then my doctor had me get another one at 40+5 to make sure he was doing ok since I was over 40 weeks. With this one I had one at 9 weeks (although that was just because my dr had a student with her as I was told at 6 weeks that because of our insurance I would only get the 20 week one). We paid for a private gender ultrasound at 16 weeks so my husband and son could come and then I had the anatomy scan at 20 weeks like normal. I won't have another unless this little guy also decides he doesn't want to come out of there.

Frustratingly normal. That’s how it was with my first. 
If you’re dying to see baby or need peace of mind, you can get a private ultrasound for around $100 in a month or too.
I’m high risk this time and have a condition that will likely slow baby’s growth so I’ll still be getting monthly scans this time around, equally nerve wracking for different reasons :/

It depends on your doctor for sure! Some will do a scan around 34-35 weeks to check position, size of baby and make sure there’s enough fluid. It depends on how you’re doing and what your circumstances are though!

It’s normal not to have any after the anatomy scan. You can opt for a third party 3D/4D scan local to you though. 
I get a last scan between 28-32 weeks. With my first, he was measuring on the smaller side. So they needed to keep a close eye on growth. And they will likely due the same for this baby, as well just in case.

That’s pretty standard actually. I was told the same in a low risk pregnancy, I’m from Canada.
I ended up having one more ultrasound at 40w5 days to measure the estimated size of my son as he was overdue and they needed to measure him for delivery safety.

For my first I got the EDD, then Anatomy, around my due date the did one more to see position of baby.
