Overfeeding?

Is it possible to overfeed a baby who is 5 days old? My baby is really hungry more than usually lately. Definitely every hour in a half. Is this okay if I feed him more?

You  really  cannot over feed an infant. They will refuse  bottle or breast when  they are full. Some babies are hungrier  than others... that's  just my experience

Yes!! If baby is being fed with bottle it’s easy to over feed baby. This is where pace feeding is very important with bottles. 
Nursing at breast is only way baby won’t over eat. 
Bottle nipples are continuous flow, whereas at breast baby controls the flow. 
So with bottles you need to use the slowest flow nipple and pace feed. And at 5days old baby doesn’t have the stomach to brain sensory to tell them they are full, they can eat out of comfort. And then literally end up over stretching the stomach. 5day old doesn’t need but .5-1oz a feeding.

And then also the chart for how to pace feed. 
**if using formula then disregard the amounts in pace feeding chart as that is for breastmilk BUT the feeding concept is still the same.

if you overfeed the baby then they will just spit it up or may be cranky from a stomachache but thats all! definitely feed more if they are hungry so quickly after a feed.

My little one has always ate like a competive eater. If you overfeed they most likely will spit up or not accept the bottle.
Trust your gut and you know your babies cues better than anyone else!
