Godmother
One of my best friends assumed she was the godmother of our baby and when we mentioned we hadn’t yet decided she asked why couldn’t it be her. Now we have chosen someone (another one of my best friends) and she is very hurt. I had a long talk with her to try to explain our decision but she is still upset. Meanwhile I’m upset that she even put me in this position. I would never assume I would be the godmother of anyone’s child! Any thoughts?
