Should I take her to the ER?

While I was doing my hair, i had my flat iron on and gonna use it soon. My daughter hit the cord and it started to move. I told my daughter NOT to grab it! And she touched the inside(metal part)  of the flat iron tryna pick it up after telling her multiple times not to!🤦🏻‍♀️ should I take her in??

Never put ice on a burn....just cool running water to take the heat out if it

Nope, cold water/ice pack wrapped in a toqel, aloe, advil.
You only need the ER for 3rd degree burns. I get 2nd degree burns on my arms so often (from my oven— I’m a clumsy baker....) I don’t even do anything for it anymore. Keep it clean and dry and wait 🤷🏽‍♀️

ER? No. Simple burns can be treated at a Patient First or Urgent care center.

Dont put any oil based products on it as that’ll make it worse.  Put an ice pack on it, then some aloe, and watch it overnight.  If it blisters up badly, then she needs to go in.  Give her ibuprofen or something too because burns are very painful.

That's not an emergency...just keep something cold on it til the pain subsides. She'll be fine.

I would probably just go to the Dr firs thing tomorrow. When my son was 1 we had an accident with the oven door. I took him to the doctor that day and they gave us an ointment and some gauze and bandages to keep it wrapped and we had 2 or 3 more appointments after that where they would completely change his bandaging and make.sure it wasn't getting infected or anything

You can run cold water over it, followed by aquaphor with a bandage. I burned myself with boiling water yesterday and it helped with the blistering.

You could make a doctors appointment. I had a similar type burn once and my doctor gave me a cream to help it heal and prevent scarring
