Choosing to be a stay at home mom
I’m a kindergarten teacher and I love my job, although this school year has been tough being remote/Covid procedures.
My husband and I are expecting our second daughter in March. Our first will be 3 in the spring and as we have started talking about the logistics of child care/preschool (cost, who would drop off/pick up, how long the girls would be there during the day) we starting talking about me staying home with them.
I’ve always thought about being at home with my kids and I know I would love it. Having had a stay at home mom growing up, I know it can be full of wonderful experiences/memories for the kids as well. Ultimately my husband has said he will support whichever decision I choose as it’s my career we’re talking about.
Was anyone else excited to be a stay at home mom but also a little sad/worried about leaving your career?
