When to tell family?

I’m super excited to tell everyone I’m pregnant but my hubs says to wait but I want to tell my mom, twin sister and best friend... it’s the first baby in my family.
When’s the right time to tell?

8 week appointment we’ll tell our parents and then Easter for everyone else.

This is my second pregnancy, I’m 6 weeks 4 days and we are telling our immediate family and siblings this weekend. We had an ultrasound and saw the baby’s heartbeat so we feel comfortable telling our closest loved ones now. Might tell a few best friends after as well. I think we might of waitef a little longer the first time but we can’t keep this in any longer haha. We will announce publicly on Easter!

I called my mum up right after I got a positive test 😁 and my sister was with her and guessed that s why I had called 😂 it was just meant to be my mum but I’m kinda glad my sister knows too

I did tell my mom, but only because I was in a situation with a trip for a bachelorette party and needed advice.  I also told my friend planning the bachelorette trip, but I didn’t want to.  She knows not to tell anyone.  I don’t plan on telling anyone else until 12-16 weeks or if I am showing and can no longer hide it.

We told my family around 7 weeks only due to health issues with myself! If I would of had a choice I would of waited until we knew the gender which normally around 20 weeks so we could make the announcement and the gender announcement at the same time! But you do what you want to do but it’s so exciting and hard to wait, I feel that way with this our and it’s our third time around lol! Good luck! 🍀

We’re waiting until after first ultrasound to tell close family. I’m 6 weeks today and having first ultrasound tomorrow. I know some people wait until further along.

I don't think there's a wrong way to do it. If you know you need your mom and twins support in this, then tell them whenever you want. Let them know that you are not sharing publicly (my mother-in-law posted the news on my Facebook page before we had told some of my family with my first daughter, so clear communication is key) and that way you and your husband can both feel satisfied. Just be sure to communicate with your husband too so he understands and doesn't feel undermined. Good luck and congratulations!!

We have told our parents and I’ve told people who I am very close to. If god forbid things don’t go to plan, I’ll have a tiny support network of people to help me through the miscarriage or whatever it may be.

Its whatever you guys want. We tell parents and siblings after our first ultrasound at 7 weeks (history of ectopic so we wait until we know it’s where it should be) and tell everyone else after 12 weeks, but everyone is different. You are the only ones who can say when you feel it’s right to tell people
