What’s your schedule like? 
I never know when to pump... I usually do 30min after I feed to tell my body I need more, but I would also like to start stashing

I built my stash by pumping after the first morning feeding for 20 minutes. You have the most milk then and it’s an easy way to build your stash. After a week I was able to get a bottles worth every morning. Plenty for a bottle here and there when I needed a break but also allowed me to have a very healthy stash by the time I went back to work.

I’ve heard to do it 20 min after nursing. I used to nurse from one side and pump from the other, from like 2 weeks to 2 months. I was always worried about not having enough but I always had plenty. I’d use a haakaa during the night starting at like 2am while I nursed. Then I became more lazy and started just pumping in the am after I nursed and then maybe 1 or 2 more times a day. Now at basically 6m in, I just collect my let downs and pump sometimes in the am. I’ve been very sporadic. I’m sure I’ve done it all wrong but I have a huge stash from this. 🤷🏼‍♀️☺️
