Visitors and newborns during covid pandemic

Anna

I’m due early March. At the end of the month, my in-laws and their extended family are getting together for a holiday. I have a rambunctious 2 year old who would greatly benefit from seeing her grandparents and cousins. My husband convinced me to go on this trip but I feel nervous about being around the rest of the family and the desire for them to see or hold the baby especially during covid time. I don’t plan to eat meals with anyone and plan to be masked at all times.

Any advice from mamas who gave birth during covid? How soon did you allow visitors? What did your parents and inlaws do around the baby? Wash hands, masks, quarantine?
