Covid?!

Are people still quarantining and practicing social distance where you ladies live? Here in south east Georgia it seems to be over. I can also say the same for my family in Michigan they seem to be back to “normal” there. We’re still playing it safe in my house. My family is acting weird because I said I don’t want any visitors for my daughter’s 5th birthday next month. Am I wrong?

I’m in DC and we’re still taking it seriously. It drives me crazy to see people saying to just go back to normal life but take “all the necessary precautions.” Necessary precautions includes staying the fuck at home. Masks are important but they are not magic.

Here in Oregon my county is still in extreme level. Though plenty of people complain all damn day about it, we ranked like 5th or 6th overall for safest states to be in currently. We stay home. We do grocery pick ups once a week and never leave the car. But I also don't live in town so that helps. We skipped a bday party for our kiddo last March. We will again next month. We've missed family birthday parties. We skipped holidays. Doing our best to do our part and just keep our little family safe. And by extension the rest of our family and everyone else's family.

Thanks everyone for the responses it bothers me that not all the states are on the same page. I wish we had a full lockdown to see if that would actually help!

No one here is really taking it seriously anymore. Sure, everyone still has to wear masks most places, but people are definitely going out. We went to a water park with 4 of our friends last month for a weekend and it was packed. We've also been all around the state doing wine tastings and looking at wedding venues all winter basically. We go out to eat with family or friends at least once a week. 
Every time we go out, it's usually decently busy. Most people are wearing masks, but more and more people are foregoing them now. It feels normal again and we're really excited about it. No one we know has had covid since this summer, and a few have already been vaccinated. 
We'll probably still wear our masks for another few months, but after that we'll likely stop. I'm glad this is finally over and things are normal again.

I’m in Darwin and we’re back to normal here with zero cases. We can live freely like this because in Australia we locked down fast and hard. Every time there’s an outbreak alert from returned travelers in quarantine the areas at risk lock down immediately. 
It’s so sad seeing so many places around the world being so smashed by this pandemic

Personally I am staying home as much as possible, only going to grad school with masks and socially distanced, and to the store once a week.
However, I'm in Iowa and our freaking governor got rid of all covid restrictions effective super bowl Sunday. We're also 47th out of 50 states in terms of getting the vaccine to people. I hate my state right now.

Still on total lockdown can’t even buy mittens at the store. Everything none essential is closed including certain isles in Walmart and Costco. Parks school all closed. Getting very tired of it but numbers are doing a lot better and with the vaccine coming out soon hopefully things will be safe by summer

How bizarre. Masks are mandatory, schools/restauants are open on partial capacity (my fam is just doing take out only). If people dont take this seriously we’ll never be ahead of it
