I need advice from other mommas
I’m due to have my first baby on June 20th. I work on a island 30 minutes away from my home each day. My day starts at 5:40 and I get on a ferry at 7:00 am and don’t come back until 5:30 or 6:00pm some days.
I got a recent job offer where I would work in the same town so I wouldn’t have to travel on ferry to the island everyday, and I would work 8:00- 5:00, however I will be making a $1.75 less a hour.
Do you think I should stay working on the island if it means making a extra $280 each month or will I want to be closer when my baby is here. I would have to drop him off at daycare so I am worried that it will not work if I’m commuting each morning off mainland...
Should I work closer for 17.25 or continue to work on the island for $19.00. What would you do?
My current employer reimburses me for ferry expenses
