How would you feel if sometimes your SO would prefer to smoke pot instead of having sex/cuddle with you?

It happened a couple of times in the past months and it made me feel hurt and rejected. He says it's not much of a big deal since it was not clear we were having sex etc and I'm overreacting.

Sometimes? A couple times? No I wouldn’t be upset.
Sometimes me or my partner are not in the mood, and would prefer something else (cuddling, movie, work out, I could go on and on) and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. Keep communication open with your partner but you also need to remember that consent is important in a relationship and neither one of you should have sex if you don’t want to

My husbands a heavy smoker & to me, it wouldn’t bother me. If it’s only a handful amount of times. All the time? I would be bothered by it. But as long as he shows me love other than those times then I wouldn’t think it’s a big deal.

We have to be considerate of men too. They don’t always want sex.. and you said its only sometimes.. My bf and I are bother smokers. There are times I am really not in the mood and he gets that and some night be like “baby I’m tired so if we do you’d have to be on top” 😂 the job he has , he be so tired getting up at 4 am everyday so sometimes is understandable.

My husband works a demanding job, plus does side work, plus has a pregnant me, and will soon be touched out by our newborn. If he wants to relax and destress his way, I’m all for it. I think navigating different levels of sexual desire is one of the trickiest parts of a relationship.
