Am I selfish?

My husband called me selfish for saying I wanted a day off from our son... He works(off for now), and I have my son 17+ hours a day when he does go to work. He goes back to work soon, with more hours(will be away 2 weeks at a time for now) and it will be just our son in I in our new home...I just want a day for my self...am I selfish...?

Not selfish at all. You're more than just a mother and you deserve time for yourself. There is nothing wrong with that.

Hell no your not. I'm with my kids all day 6 days a week my only break is 2.5 hrs doing laundry where my hubby watches the kids

No you are not selfish at all. We all need a break from our little ones. Even if it’s just an hour to ourselves. No one talking to us, no one needing us nothing. Just solitude, peace and quiet. Your husband needs to understand that. You both need me time. My husband and I discussed that before our daughter was even born. That when he gets home from work no matter how long of a day he would give me a break. Even if it’s just to shower by myself and sit down and recollect myself. It’s about seeing what’s important to each other and respecting that. It’s not fair for you nor him to not allow time to take care of yourselves. You have to do that in order to take care of your little one, otherwise it just gets so hard

F$*! NO YOU ARE NOT SELFISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are far from it. You are human and trust me if he had to spend every day alone with a effing child he would say the same thing. I WFH every day and have my 11 month old with me 2 of those days and then the weekend with my husband and every freaking day I feel like I need a break from him. And that is OK! That doesn’t make you selfish or less of a mom or anything it makes you a completely normal human. Tell you husband to kick rocks!!!!
