Is it common for people get their ass cheeks waxed?

I'm asking because there was this time i accidentally shaved the bottom part of my ass cheeks probably like 2-3 years ago and i cant remember if my butt was hairy before that but i feel like it is now... the hair isnt thick or coarse its just fine n i think its really long... but i see pictures of ppl in bikinis and their butts look so smooth so i have to wonder if this is normal and if ppl get it their butts waxed??
