Two year old speech help?

Hey guys my two-year-old still hasn’t started talking and we are waiting to get in for speech therapy but do you guys have any recommendations on some videos right activities that can help him in the meantime?

Screen time is highly associated with speech delay, so idk that videos are going to be your best solution. If you’re on IG @speachsisters &weetalkers are really helpful!

My son was in speech. Lots of reading, talk to them like a an adult. Ask questions. Explain everything you’re doing. Even doing some sign language if that’s the way they’ll communicate. I got this toy on Amazon that was just little barns with animals inside so we worked on the color of the barn, how many there are, what animal, the noise an animal makes, we say “knock knock” let’s open, take out, put in, and close the barn.

I started mine with animal sounds like what does a bee say? “Bzzzz” .. and so on. He didn’t want to imitate words but he did really well with animal sounds and that at least gets them to practice speaking somewhat. Speech therapy really helped. Hope it all goes well!

No videos, no toys unless montessori-themed, not too much "outside" help. Lots of reading and being around mom and dad when they speak (so the 2 year old brain is able to absorb the caretakers language), and playing with other children around the same age, 1-4 years old. And by playing I also absolutely mean no helicopter parenting during play time. 
Don't worry too much as I'm sure just like you and I and every other human interaction I/we have, I/we have absolutely no clue if a person started speaking at 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 24 months, 36 months, 4 years old, 5 years old, 6, 7, 8, etc.... So hang in there and continue to provide your love and support!

On YouTube search for “speech therapy for toddlers.” My son loves watching all the Songs for Littles videos, which also teach sign language. But they really do best when you do it yourself or do it with them while you watch the videos together. :)

Books,books, and books! My daughter turned 2 end of January and wasn’t saying hardly anything. I have been really diligent in reading to her all the time and all of the sudden she’s saying all these new words everyday. Her favorite are the toddler search and find books. Kind of like where’s Waldo and I spy books but they have toddler versions. She had a Minnie and Elmo one.
