Full custody
At what point in time would be a good time to go for full custody? I have a 9 year old daughter (10 next month) who I share with my ex husband. We share 50/50 if you even want to call it that. He hasn’t seen her in literally 25 months. He took me to court last February and was ordered therapeutic visitation at a center that had to be paid for by him. Here we are a year later and he still hasn’t complied or even reached out to the center to set this up. He reached out to me before Christmas asking if I was going to let him see “his” daughter. I didn’t respond well because we have a court order already. Then he reached out again calling me a pathetic mother and that he was going to take me to court again. Which I know the judge wouldn’t do shit because we have the therapeutic order from last year. Haven’t heard from him since. Maybe because now the holidays are over and that was all he cared about. Before anyone decides to lash out on me and call me names I will say that he was regularly seeing her three times a week before he stopped. Reason being was because he left his wife and three other kids to enter into a new relationship with a girl and SIX kids. Then left her and is now with someone else. So it’s not that I’m keeping my daughter (who has not asked ONCE in two years to see her father) but more like protecting her. From what I’ve seen on Facebook he also isn’t seeing his other kids either. But anyway. I was just curious. Do I let time drag on a little bit more and then file or what? I’m also eight months pregnant so trying to avoid the stress that comes with court issues until baby is here in April.
