Uterine fibroids (small) and next steps

Mz

So I’ve had my private fertility clinic ultrasound and AMH test results (20). I have follicles enlarging and possibly multiple ones (15-18mm 3 days before ovulation, 14mm on the other side).

I also have only just learned that I have fibroids, and it looks like they’re in a tricky place - not sure precisely sure where, but seems like they are uterine and could impact implantation apparently.

Also they might interfere with IVF if they’re in the cavity, I hear. But it’s all a bit vague right now. And I felt like I didn’t want to ask more details (that isn’t like me, I don’t know why).

The private clinic are sending my GP scans next week and I will also apply to them to have more investigation. I really am a little overwhelmed by all this by now.

I don’t know how many or the exact sizes or locations of the fibroids yet. I have been offered further examinations, either saline or camera (I think?) which is twice the price.

Partner is also getting a detailed sperm analysis in 10 days privately.

I don’t really want to have more surgery to remove the small fibroids but if the location is affecting things, maybe I have to? Or maybe I just carry on trying naturally and accept that I might not be able to?

I also want to try to conceive naturally but I’m 38. I’m just not sure what to do next without spending lots of money or having them removed.

Some options the clinic suggested were to do nothing, to contact my GP and get on a waiting list, to have a saline or more expensive camera investigation of the fibroids, or even to somehow freeze blastocysts now at age 38 while I sort out the fibroids...

To be honest it was on a Zoom call and I found it awkward to be sat in my kitchen and couldn’t think of more questions at the time, but now I have so many 😱

Any similar stories appreciated! Sorry for the stream of consciousness story.

Thanks!
