Anterior Placenta effects labor??

Question

i read somewhere if you have anterior placenta you can have painful and longer labor for days. Please share experiences, i was planning not to take any pain medication like epidural now little scared.

Nope don’t believe that stuff. I had an anterior placenta my first pregnancy and I had a great, short, unmedicated labor and birth

Stop reading stuff on google . Everyone’s birth is different . I have an anterior placenta and my OB said it won’t effect me in any way . Just harder to find baby’s heartbeat and feel movements . But I can feel my baby move EVERYDAY ! So don’t worry !

I think the only time anterior placentas effect labor is when you need a C-Section.  Depending on its location, they have to make sure they don't cut into it when extracting the baby.

I had an anterior placenta my last two pregnancies and they were both 8 hour labours. Nothing to worry about!

I have an anterior placenta this time and have read that it can give you back labor....I’ve had back labor with both of my previous kiddos and had posterior placentas with them. Also my first labor was 18 hours from water breaking to baby and my second was like 18 hours early labor and 6 hours active so yeaaaaaa I think you can have any of that stuff regardless the position of placenta. I’ve also read up to 52% of pregnancies have anterior placentas. It’s super normal.

I had an anterior placenta with my last pregnancy, labor to her being born was 6 hours to the minute. Not a long labor at all. I did have back labor too so the epidural didn’t work. It was a very painful labor, but that was not because of the anterior placenta, but because of the back labor.

I don’t know but I don’t think it does.
I had an anterior with my second and she was sunny side up which is more common with an anterior. I did have prodromal labor for 2 days before I had her and they did tell me that those contractions were not meant to dilate me as much as help her get in a better position for birth but once I was in active labor, it didn’t last too long. I was admitted around late afternoon (at 1 cm), had the epidural early evening (then my water broke) and had her just after 11 PM. She flipped while it was pushing. Once she flipped, she slid right out.
I had 2 weeks of prodromal labor and around 12 hrs of active labor with my first and his placenta was posterior.
