Period while pregnat / decidual bleeding?

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for a downer question, but I’m getting panicked. I had some slight spotting on Wednesday. Nothing Thursday, but full bleeding started Friday. It looks and feels like my period, but I’m 7 weeks pregnant. Went to the ER when the bleeding got heavy and they did an ultrasound. The gestational sac was visualized and intact, but my hcg levels seemed low for 7 weeks. They said they have no way of knowing if I’m having a miscarriage or not. I have to go back in a few days and get tested again. In the meantime I’m just sitting here bleeding. It looks and feels the same as my normal period. I can’t go back to the doctor until Tuesday.

Does anyone know a way to tell the difference between a miscarriage and decidual bleeding? Anything I should be doing or not doing?

I’m trying to stay positive but I’m just so worried!!!!
