Did birthing ball help you with labor?

Not just in the sense of “inducing” labor but for labor pains and opening your hips up do you feel like it worked?

Hospital had a huge peanut shaped one they propped between my legs during induction with my second and I swear that helped open my hips so much! I’m not a big person and I delivered 10lb 1oz vaginally.

I will say when I was in labor, sitting on the ball made the contractions feel way more painful! But baby was head down and engaged by 35 weeks with my first after sitting on a birth ball for 8 hours a day at work. My doctor said there is a direct correlation with sitting in that position and allowing more open space for baby to drop down so with my second, I have been sitting on it as much as I can in hopes he drops! 
I would recommend using it! I’m going to try to use it through labor as well this time around if I can not be a pansy about it 😂

I would say yes. I labored at home for quite a while and found the ball was great to sit on, bounce through contractions, lean over. I was able to progress pretty quickly

I utilized the peanut ball after my epidural and I feel that it helped me progress.
