I’m 31 weeks & I started getting patterned contractions so I came to the hospital and they told me I was 1cm dilated which is normal cause I’ve had previous vaginal births. They gave me two doses to stop contractions and they kept going but less.

Doctor ordered for me to get doses of steroids to help speed the development of baby’s lungs in case he does decide to come faster when I’m discharged.

I’m really nervous because I know this goes against the natural development of my baby and I don’t think steroids are good.

The nurse said it’s bc I don’t drink enough water so if I fix the water in take wouldn’t the steroids be pointless?

I read about a study that indicates that babies who get steroids for their lungs later on have behavioral issues and or ADHD

Moms who’s baby’s gotten these doses what have been your experience ? We’re doing the 4 doses every 12 hrs cause the hospital ran out of the 2 doses one
