Let me start by saying I was supposed to be induced for labor at 37 weeks and 1 day due to gestational hypertension and showing symptoms of preeclampsia. Well January 27th I was 36/6 and I just didn’t feel well, I couldn’t sleep and I kept feeling like I was leaking fluid. Around 11pm that night I woke my husband up and told him I felt we needed to go to labor and delivery where I actually work at also. We loaded up our things just in case and headed off. We got there and the nurse performed A swab to check to see if I was leaking fluid which came back negative. The nurses all joked with me about going home and having sex to induce myself because at this point it was the 28th 1:30am and I was being induced in 24 hours. Well they left the room and I got out of bed to get dressed to head back home and my husband was telling me jokes to make me feel better and as I started laughing a small gush happened and I told him I think I peed on the floor 😅,then I laughed again and it was a large gush of fluid this time. Well we got the nurse back in and my water had broke . I was a 3 dilation and contractions started being around every 5 minutes. By 3:30 am I was a 5 dilation, by 5 am I was a 7, by 5:45 I was a 10 and they had me labor down to try to decrease the amount of pushing we had to do. So we started pushing at 6:55am and my sweet beau was here by 7:24am at exactly 37 weeks 💓. He made his own due date and I couldn’t have been happier
