So I am a first-time mom, whose birth plan totally went out the window. I had done a lot of preparation to have the birthing process of my dreams and it didn’t happen. I wanted to have a natural birth, and I did for the most part until the very end. I was given a cervix ripener on the 8th, induced on the 9th, labored for 27 hours with no drugs at all, only to be told my baby wasn’t going to fit through my pelvis. 😭😭😭😭 Now, I’d never had major surgery before. So you can imagine my dismay when my OB said that a c-section needs to happen soon because “we don’t know how baby is going to handle the continued stress” since my water had been broken the day before.

Now, I was nervous. My mother and soul were both nervous for me, but the C-Section went flawlessly, and the moment I saw my son...the chaos leading up to his arrival was totally worth it. ❤️❤️❤️ Maddox La’Marr was born in February 10th and came in rocking as “Sweet Child of Mine” by Guns and Roses played in the OR.
