Successful VBAC
At 38+3 I went to pee and noticed I was bleeding! I called my OB and she had me come into L&D right away. They found my water had broken and I had a slow leak. They admitted me and the rest quickly went! They started me on pitocin at 3:30pm and didn’t check me till 7:30. I was still at a ONE!!! I got the epidural (which only worked on one side) and progressed from a 1 to a 4 in half an hour! It was so beyond painful. Then I progressed to a 10 over the next 2 hours! So I only labored actively for 2.5 hours but technically labored for 18 hours if you start from when my water broke. I pushed for half an hour and gave birth to Everett Thomas Rose at 2:43 am on 2/14/21. We sure love our little Valentine♥️♥️♥️ He did end up inhaling too much amniotic fluid and now has a pneumothorax so he’s spending some time in the NICU but we are so so hopefully that he will make a full and speedy recovery!!
