Newborn tongue always out?!

She’s 4 days old and her tongue just like sticks out all day. Even when she’s sleeping. It’s not Down’s syndrome, she has no makers from genetic testing for it and no physical characteristics. It’s also not Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome because she’s extremely teeny. 5 pounds 10 ounces and no irregular measurements. She nurses amazing. I’m just stumped because it’s not a reflex thing and it’s making me go crazy. It’s worrying me 😭

My daughter use to do this all the time when she was a baby. She’s a perfectly healthy 4.5 year old. I don’t think there’s anything to worry about she just likes her tongue lol

My oldest nephew's tongue was a bit too big for his mouth and always stuck out a bit. He grew up into his tongue perfectly fine.

Mine did too! She is a happy healthy 2.5 year old. The nurses and dr told us it is normal.

It’s probably just a weird phase if nothing else seems to be going on 🤷🏻‍♀️ when my daughter was a newborn she always had her bottom lip sucked in. Like all the time, on the rare occasion it wasn’t I’d be taking pictures because I could actually see her whole mouth and not just her top lip 🤣 she grew out of it pretty quickly
