So a couple days ago my ex who I have not talked too in about 8 months, (we broke up a year ago) texts me hello and how are you doing.

I respond I am doing well and hope he is too, but after that I did not respond. I was trying to be polite but I also just didn’t want to talk to him. I still feel for him to a degree and just don’t wanna open old wounds.

Then he texts me again a day later, asking me what I’m doing, idk why I decided to respond after that but I did. I know, big mistake!! So we have been talking pretty much small talk the past couple days. So he obviously doesn’t want sex, he doesn’t wanna be friends, he doesn’t wanna get back together, then it hit me.

Now I’m thinking omgosh I am an idiot!!! This jerk face probably checking to see if I’m still willing to respond to him, seeing what I’m doing on Valentine’s Day, he is probably just looking for an ego boost to know that I’m lonely and sad today. Now I’m kinda mad. Do guys do this often??? Also I am NOT responding after this realization!! Like now I am upset he thinks I am just something he can mess with like that.
