Do you think a private scan would be worth it?

I have suffered from 2 miscarriages that resulted in nothing in my sac. The past two times I have an ultrasound done at 7-8 weeks. My first appointment is the 26th and my ob said no ultrasound will be done. I’ll be 6 plus weeks! With that being said I would love to have an early one to make sure something is in there if anything is?! I just don’t want to wait the 8 weeks to find out that I have an empty sac again.

I’m having one at 8 weeks because my baby died at 7 weeks gestation in December and I know I’ll be beside myself with worry. I didn’t find out officially until 10 weeks because they wouldn’t scan me “for a bit of spotting” at 8 weeks.

I’m having one done at 7 weeks to check for heartbeat and that will be the reassurance I need to help get through to 12 week scan

My ultrasound gave me soo much comfort- knowing it’s in the right place, has implanted well and the heartbeat has started. X

Honestly I would wait hun, it would be the same outcome regardless of if you go now or wait. Doctors usually suggest waiting so that the baby can be seen more accurately. But if it helps you feel better I say go for it! Good luck mama 💖
