Try for the 2nd?

Hey everyone so me and my husband welcomed our first baby to the world april of 2020. We have started discussing possibly trying to have another baby. We were thinking start trying in November at the end of this year. I’m just nervous. I’m scared my baby will feel abandoned or like I’m doing her wrong. Have you guys had babies that close together? What was your experience? How did your oldest take it?

My daughter is 22 months and we have a 2 week old newborn. She has done great and adjusted really well. I think it helps that my husband gets a lot of leave, so she isn’t having to share attention much.

That is a normal age difference and my exact situation. My April 18 baby and August 20 baby are handling it beautifully. I just make sure each has one on one time and family time as a group. Oldest gets pouty when I am stuck breastfeeding, but moves on pretty quickly. Eldest is protective of my second, so cute. My second ADORES the first. My husband has had to be with the first more often, but has enjoyed the time. I did potty train the first before the second was born so that was nice. They will both feel love! Go for it!
