For those is interracial and/or multicultural relationships:
What names are you leaning towards and why? What is important to you in picking a name?
I'm American (raised in the south) and my husband is French/Moroccan and we're trying to pick names that will do well with both families. I realize it has to be something we love at the end of the day, but I want his family (they don't speak English) to be able to easily pronounce it. I don’t want to "white-wash" our child but I also worry that they could take after their mother with white skin, blonde hair and blue eyes and possibly be mocked for having an arabic name... We're having a hard time so I'm wondering if anyone else is facing a similar problem?
One good thing is that people in the South can name their kids some wild stuff so we're not too worried about choosing something unique. And there's always middle names! Thank goodness were still TTC so we have a while to figure it out!
