Have you ever had someone always insist you apologize wrong?

I did it again. I made him angry by apogizing wrong. I couldn't reach the toilet paper and I had to ask him to bring it to me from the tall cabinet in the washroom. I said "thank you SO much honey" genuinely I mean I was grateful I could wipe my ass. He immediately calls me passive aggressive and cusses me up and down. I call him out on this and he says "well your mother did it" my mom died 3 years ago... so I get firm. no. I meant my thank you! I said "this happens frequently- I always mean it genuinely. I am deeply thankful" he says I'm full of shit and that was a "blanket statement". I started getting frustrated at this point and I tear up bc... fuck dude this is an every day thing almost. I apologize wrong or not good enough. He finally says "well I guess I've heard enough passive aggressive apologies in my life I assume they're all the same"- hypocrite much??

Before yall say leave his ass we been married 5 years. No. Not going to happen.

But does anyone have advice on how to explain that I am genuine? I try to phrase my thank you and apologies right but they are never enough for him.
