Breech at 22 week ultrasound?
I know there’s still plenty of time for baby to move around and get into the correct position, but has anyone been told at their anatomy scan that their baby was breech? Did your little one end up changing positions? If so, was there anything that you did to encourage them to flip, or did they do it on their own?
First time mom here - baby has been super active and seems to change position depending on which side I lay on, but the majority of her kicks seem to be lower in my uterus. Her head was on my left side right under my ribs all day yesterday (my scan was yesterday AM). There was definitely a lot of pressure in the spot where the ultrasound detected her head, and my husband and I could feel and see where her head was last night, but I was able to lay on my right side and shift her into a different position (and got lots of big protest kicks in response).
Should I start exercises that encourage her to flip into a head down position now, or wait until 30-34 weeks as Dr. Google suggests? We are planning a midwife assisted home birth, so she definitely needs to be in the correct position for us to safely and legally move forward. We have two more independent ultrasounds available in our package, so I’m already thinking about when to time them to make sure all is good with baby and her position. I have had an extremely traumatic hospital experience recently, and I am terribly sensitive to pain medication (to the point of going into cardiac arrest), so scheduling a c-section is just not an option for us. Any advice is welcome! Thank you in advance!
