Hey ladies!

So I’m 34 weeks exactly & was diagnosed with GD at around 28 weeks.

I was borderline & so far have been able to manage sugar levels by diet.

Originally my dr said they would induce me at 37 weeks depending on further growth scans & if not they wouldn’t let me go past my actual due date.

My first scan baby was in the 93 percentile & was weighing 1.5kg (3lb 8oz)

Second scan she was in the 91 percentile & weighing 2.2kg - (5lb 1oz)

I’m due for another scan in 2 weeks to see if the diet has continued to help slow her growth not drastically but enough to prevent any further action taken.

My dr was pretty impressed with the second scan & said depending on the next scan we may not need to induce at 37 weeks.

My question is though regardless of how my scans are going will I still be induced on my due date if nothing else is a problem? Do they let you go past your due date if you have GD even if it’s controlled?

I’m just worrying she’ll still be to big & I’ll have trouble trying to give birth, her head is currently measuring 3 weeks ahead already so not sure if them letting me go further will cause any issues when I try to do a vaginal birth.
