Play Mat Ideas?

I’m wondering what others are doing to change up your play mat situation? It seems no matter what I do, my son is bored quickly with this space, since we’re in all the same spaces in the house, all day, every day...

I’ve tried rotating toys, bringing down couch cushions, going to different rooms, using a laundry basket, taking breaks with the exersaucer and baby-wearing, walks around the block when possible, sitting in the bath, and coming back to the mat, but I’m running out of ideas! Anyone else?
