Born at 34 weeks!

Lexi

Just now posting this because I have had a couple hectic weeks. Wednesday January 27 I went to the OB to get a normal check up with ultrasound and my OB told me my blood pressure was super high and had to go to the hospital. Got to the hospital and ended up staying 2 days for them to watch my blood pressure then they sent me home to monitor my own blood pressure. After being home for 3 hours went to take my blood pressure and it was super high again so another trip to the hospital. That night at 12 which put me right at 34 weeks they started to induce me. The dr put me on magnesium (which was horrible) and started softening my cervix due to me having preeclampsia. I wasn’t really dilating so they used a foley bulb and potocin to help me dilate (worst pain ever) that immediately started my contractions and at 5:30am they gave me epidural due to how much pain I was in after everything kicked in. Epidural was a life savior considering I didn’t give birth until 7:30pm that day! By then the epidural was not in full effect so I felt all the stitches and everything. Mila was born at 7:30pm 5lbs 2oz 19inches long. Mila had to stay in the NICU for 8 days. She is such a blessing and so happy she is here and healthy!
