I recently saw a doctor because my periods have suddenly become irregular. They’re always on time but for the past 3 months they’ve been delayed 1-2 weeks. My mom and grandma have endo but I have not been diagnosed. My periods are extremely painful and heavy. I can’t handle the pain and I wanted a doctors help. I got a pelvic exam and ultrasound done and they found a fibroid and my right ovary is enlarged due to a cyst. The OB i saw to discuss my options did not seem to care about me or my pain at all. She refused to speak about any kind of procedure/laparoscopy even though my symptoms are severe and I have family history. She recommended midol for heavens sake. How did you get your doctor to take you seriously?
