If you were having twins, would you give them the same first letter or separate?

We like Charlie & Carmen, but we also like Emmeline & Theodore. Decisions, Decisions.....

I would definitely do different. I'd make their names as different as possible - different first letter and sound, different last letter and sound, different number of syllables even. They'll be referred to as the twins and such so much, I'd want to do what I can to prevent them always being lumped together, if that makes sense?

Charlie and Carmen aren't bad at all though because they have very different sounds even though they're both C names. I would just choose 2 names I like and not try to match them.

It’s definitely up to you, my mom gave my brother and I completely different names even though we’re twins she made sure that everyone knew that we were our own person. I think that as long as you feel like their names fit them when they’re born that you chose right.

Charlie and Carmen are different phonics, so I'd say that different enough.
I wouldn't usually go for the same letter. Even just siblings, but definitely not twins. Although boy-girl twins are probably not the same as same sex twins. They have more of a fight for individuality. Boy and girl are already so different, they probably have it a bit easier and won't always just be "the twins".

I’m a b/g twin mom, and they honestly have to share enough as it is.
