Planning on Starting IVF next cycle, but if my odds of achieving pregnancy are cut by 1/2 because of my age, not sure I’m going to do it 😭

Don’t give up hope! It’s really hard to tell. There’s some women, even at 30, who aren’t successful their first try, it may take 2-3 transfers. There’s no way to know. What’s your infertility diagnosis? Yes, statistics say that egg quality declines after 35+ but we all know women that conceived naturally at that age. My Mother had 7 babies, her last at 41. All naturally. And I’ve read many stories on here about IVF success at 40+. The unknown is scary. Especially IVF and the cost behind it. But it’s worth a shot if it’s really what you want. None of us can tell you, unfortunately. IVF at 40 can be risky since the egg quality and supply is usually so low, but I’ve seen it work for people. I really hope it works for you!

It’s not a guarantee for anyone. 20 or 40.     I can tell you it took me 3 retrieval’s with adjusted protocols at 39 but it finally worked (and cost a heck of a lot of money) Secondary infertility after natural first child.
