What help if any do you get as a SAHM
Yesterday was a tough day for me as a pregnant mom with a toddler and disabled and high risk I am burned out. My husband is amazing and works his butt off to provide. I have a background in Early Child Development and Special Needs and honestly feel like my calling is being a stay at home mom. But I am realizing as much as I want to do it all I have physically limitations that are completely out of my control.
I guess I am wondering for average stay at home mom's who are not disabled how much help do you get? Do you have family once in a while watch your children? Do you hire a cleaning lady? Do you swap with friends?
COVID has changed so much who our village was and has left me so lonely. My mom was also my go to help (very rarely if I had doctors appointments) but she is newly paralyzed. I have a horrible relationship with my MIL. Just not even sure who to turn to for help.
My husband thinks I am being much to hard on myself and that no stay at home mom does it on their own all the time. What is the norm?
