O positive blood??

I’m just wondering if anyone here has o positive blood type. Did they tell you your baby’s blood type at the hospital and did they test fathers blood type as well? I read where If you have o positive blood the baby can have jaundice ?? So i have been concerned

Any baby can have Jaundice. 
I am O positive and my son did have Jaundice pretty bad...he had to do phototherapy by a jaundice light blanket that wrapped around him, he had to wear it 24 7 for 2 weeks

I’m B+ my husband is O- my 1st and 3rd are O+ and my 2nd and 4th are B- (all girls) my last and final is O- who’s a boy...he was also in the nicu for 3 weeks and was on the lights a little more than the girls were but he was also born 34 weeks...other than that he’s a happy healthy little man....crazy he didn’t get any blood type from me...🤔

Yes, I had this with my last baby.  I am O+ and my son is A+.  It's called ABO incompatibility and the NICU (he arrived early) tested for it after he was born and told me that he still had a high level of my antibodies that were destroying his blood cells - leading to jaundice.  
My daughter also had A+, but I we did not have the same issue.  I'm not sure if it's because she was full term, or if I didn't make the same antibodies. 🤷‍♀️

Your blood type doesn’t determine if your child will be jaundice. I am A+. My husband is O+. Our daughter is A+ and she was jaundice although not enough to need the light. We don’t know our son’s blood time, but he wasn’t jaundice. Our hospital only checked our daughter’s type because she was in the NICU for blood concerns and they needed to be ready for a transfusion (she didn’t need one).
