Grandparent rights

I'm just wondering what rights grandparents on the father's side have if him and the mother were never married and if the father is uninvolved in the child's life. I live in Indiana if that makes a difference in the answer. I'm just afraid of them trying to pull something by the way they've been acting and want to be prepared for every possible circumstance.
