Potty training advice??

FTM here interested in any potty training advice or tips you can share - especially for a boy!

Foe our first child we sis the "oh crap! potty training" book/method. Basically had her completely negated for a whole day with her potty within a few feet if her. Then commando for a couple weeks. She picked it up real quick. But you have to make sure you do it when you aren't working cause you have to be on it the first few days

I’ve also done the Oh crap potty training method with awesome results! I’m aiming to start potty training my son this summer. We have already bought some potty books with his favorite characters (Elmo and Mickey mouse). My daughter has some toy toilets for her barbies so my son carries them around saying ‘poo pop’. So I think exposure at this age is important. He follows me and my husband in the bathroom when we are home alone (not going to shut him out 😂) so he will point out the potty when he’s in there.

Definitely let them lead you. Boys are usually late potty trainers (our oldest son wasn’t ready - despite my every effort - until he was 3 and then he picked it up faster than I could believe). They’re stubborn little creatures and if your rush it, they will regress and that is miserable for all involved.
