MY FIRST TAMPON 🥺

I used to have vaginismus after a sexual assault and it took me so long but I'm so happy that I finally reclaimed myself and my body. I put in my very first tampon with no pain and it glided in. I was so happy that I cried once I got it in 😩 Now I just have to get the hang of doing it more often. Once I perfect my angles then I know it'll get even easier the more I do it 🥰 encouragement to the ladies!! keep trying, you will push forward. Also anyone who has more tips on insertion when it's not your heaviest day please lmk 🥺

I don’t use tampons any more but I find it helps to wet your vagina and fingers or use a little bit of lube or coconut oil to make sure it doesn’t hurt on the way in from being too dry

That is so awesome!!! What a victory!
I've been using Playtex Sport. The applicators have a tapered tip so they go in more easily. I also get the variety pack (regular and super) so I can use smaller ones on my light days. For insertion, I usually do so while standing and I take a moment to let my body relax. Take a deep breath if needed. Make sure you've gone to the restroom first so your body isn't extra tense (also applies when removing your tampons).
Eventually you won't even have to think about it. It becomes second nature!
Also I came to always prefer tampons and a panty liner because larger pads irritate my skin.

You won’t get TSS or have harsh chemicals from a tampon. It’s easier, reusable and leak free! You hardly know it’s there!

I like the Real, Cora and Honey Pot brands of tampons. I find them very comfortable and they are made with organic cotton. 
Tips:
- Swatting position works best for me and using the tampons with the applicators. 
- Wear the right tampon for your period flow
- Try different brands to find which ones are best for you.

I use to have really heavy periods but now they have calmed down and on my heavy days now I just use regular tampons but on my lighter ones depending on how I feel or what I’ll b doing, I’ll either just use a pad or a light tampon.

I have vaginismus too! 
Tampons still don't work for me. I use a diva cup! It's worth trying. Especially if you use a little bit of lube to help it slide in.

I usually take a little plane vaseline and coat the applicator and it slides right in and eliminates any discomfort for me as well.
