I feel like a few of the people I’ve told about being pregnant have reacted like flat soda or chimed in with negative comments. I know there are people who will be genuinely happy for me but lately it just seems like people can’t look past their own stuff to be positive for anyone else. This will be my first child btw and we’ve been trying for a few years.

I feel the exact same way. Just try not to lose focus on your own excitement and, as hard as it is, don’t let other people’s inability to be happy for you bring you down! 
It says more about them than it does about you & your pregnancy. Still trying to learn this lesson myself, but I’ll admit it is pretty disappointing.

Im so sorry that happened to you. I haven’t told many people so far- a lot of the people in my life can be quite self-absorbed, and I’m afraid they won’t care or will act fake, so I’m just waiting to share and only told one close friend who I trust and who has my back.

Honestly I think a lot of it has to do with such a weird world we are currently living in. I’m sure it’s unintentional by all means but unfortunately some people are so stuck on the new life they’re living that they don’t realize the way they react or respond. As long as you’re happy, that’s all that matters ♥️
