HELP! Baby on breast after not

Anyone put baby on breast after exclusive pumping a few days? I had mastitis again and it was way too painful, but pumping didn’t hurt as bad so I’ve been pumping. Should I try BF again? I’m torn with what to do and how to stay healthy with no mastitis. HELP! Advice please!!!
