Should I get a barriactric surgery at 21 and weight 228 ?

I’m tall I been losing weight on my own but could I do it with that weight or should I lose it on my own? Should I do the bariatic surgery before lipo and tummy tuck.

Bariatric surgery is LAST resort. I don’t think people understand how tough it is on your body and often causes many long term health issues.

Based on the fact that you’re successfully getting to a healthy weight on your own, I don’t think a doctor would recommend an invasive surgery that carries the risk for adverse side effects, unless there were no other option. Keep up your hard work! 💚

I got it done at 22 and I was in my 230s too. I’ve kept the weight off for the most part. As others have stated, there are risks, but obesity is also a risk factor for many health conditions. I would have been much bigger right now if I didn’t get the surgery.

Before I got pregnant I was 265lbs, I walked cut sugar from my diet and exercised (didn't exercise except walk till I got to my goal weight just to tone) I lost 125lbs was in the best shape of my life. You don't need surgery determination is a big thing. I just woke up one day and said today I am done being overweight and never stopped. Of course I gained alot back being pregnant but I am going to go back to doing what I was doing before after I'm cleared by my doctor. You got this girl!!
