Is anybody planning on doing having a baby sitter or baby going to day care ?

So I have been thinking about doing a baby sitter since I work from home but I’m not sure if it’s better do go to day care ( after baby is 12 weeks )

Working mom and back in the office since November. Our 3 year old attends daycare during the week and our new little one will too. I am taking my 12 week maternity leave and then he will start at the same school as his brother. 
All certified daycares are mandated by the state to follow safety precautions around COVID, including temperature checks multiple times a day. we are thankful we have had no outbreaks and I truly feel his school is one of the cleanest places he goes. I have no worries about baby brother. 
Also, daycare is more than just a babysitter. It really is early childhood education. Its important developmentally for children to have routines, be able to follow instruction from adults that aren't their parents and how to interact around other children. 
Just something to keep in mind.

Working mom, so definitely. I’m going to talk to a stay at home mom I know to see if she’d be willing to take on an extra child (for pay, of course) before going through a daycare.

I’m a stay at home working mom. I find it best to have an in home care taker when needed. I can still get everything done while also spending time with my son.

We were blessed with my mother in law helping with our first two kids for the first few years of their lives and did not need daycare or nannies. It’s becoming too much for her though and baby 3 on the way. We have tried two different nannies and both did not work out. We found them to be unreliable and/or too opinionated on how they thought best to care for the kids. Something always seemed to come up with both of them leaving us stranded with no care.. so we took the leap to start daycare. Our oldest at 4.5 is in preschool but our 2 year old just started. We are still working on the transition for him but the daycare we found is really lovely and has so many features and perks like video cameras we can watch him, an app that reports daily activity, food consumption diaper changes and pictures. So far it is working out. We just registered for baby 3 to start when she is around 4 or 5 months old- I will be on maternity leave with her until then.

I was always opposed to putting my child in daycare. I never thought it was for me. Thankfully, I work from home the majority of the time. My MIL who originally said that she would watch our son and my Nephew quickly found out that it is too much. I tried several in-home options and didn’t find myself to be satisfied. 
Once our son turned 1, we decided to enroll him in a center near our home. I was 100% wrong about daycare. They are fantastic. They genuinely love my son. They send me pictures and updates and send a report home each day to let me know what he ate, how much, diaper changes, etc. He gets to interact with other kids his same age and they do lots of fun activities each day. It has been an adjustment for him; especially after being home with me for a year straight but you can already see his development improving. 
As long as you do your research and find the right fit, a daycare can be especially rewarding for both you and your child. Children need structure and they also benefit tremendously from being around other kids. It has been one of the best decisions that we have made but it was not made lightly. We are both very particular about who watches our child. We want him to be happy and flourish and I just can’t say enough about his daycare 💙

I would try to keep baby with me as looong as possible. I don't see the point in having children only to send them off to be raised by others.

As of right now, we’re not sure if we’re going to send our baby to daycare. I work as a PreK teacher at the daycare my first is going to. This is my second baby and my first started daycare at 7 months old. She loves going and I love that she gets interacting with other children. I would love to put my second baby in childcare too, so I can work, but childcare for two babies are pricey. I get a discount too for working there and it’s still going to be pricey for two! I think stay at home mamas are amazing, but I’m just not the stay at home mama type, I have to be working. So now we’re having to thinking about what we want to do!!

I’m going back part time, just 10 days a month. It’s so hard finding a good sitter these days. The church down the rd from us is opening up a daycare this summer. My husband isn’t too thrilled about sending baby there. My brothers kids sitter is good but idk if she will have openings. I’m hoping 🤞🏽

I’m a full time working from home mom and I intend to place baby in a daycare center at 3 months. I have nothing against home daycares or finding a stay at home mom to watch little one but our toddler goes to this center and we absolutely LOVE it so it just makes sense to keep them at the same place. It’s definitely a pretty penny (twice our mortgage payment for the both of them) but totally worth it.

Daycare 😞. As much as I dread having her go to daycare at 3mo. I’m full time and have to go back to work.
