Does your partner help?

Question

For you mommas who stay at home full time and have partners that work outside of the home full time, what do they do to help at home? Or do they not help at all? I’m curious how other families balance it.

We have an almost 2 year old and I’m 22 weeks pregnant. My husband is currently working from home, and works long hours (80+ hours a week). He still always makes time to contribute to our household. He currently does most of the outside chores. He takes out the trash, shovels snow, raked leaves in the fall and mows in nicer weather. He makes us all breakfast in the morning so that I have some time to get a little yoga in and shower. It’s a habit we started when I was still working, and he wanted to keep it up when I transitioned to a SAHM. He always offers to do more, clean the bathrooms or do laundry, but I always assure him that I’ve got it. He does bathtime with our son and has since birth. It’s a great bonding moment for them. He takes care of poopy diapers when I’m feeling especially pukey. We check in with each other regularly to make sure we’re each doing our share and that neither of us feels overwhelmed. Despite his long hours, it’s important to him that he that he feels connected to us, and contributing to our household is a part of that to him. Everyday I feel lucky that I found him.

My husband does all things outside chores, I do indoors.
 He does set the table for dinner and puts dinner away while i wash dishes. He also helps our son clean up his toys and helps put both kiddos to bed.

33 weeks pregnant (high risk) and have a toddler at home. I am also considered disabled. Husband works 60+ hours a week.
Every day is different for us and how we do it. We see it as we work together and we accomplish more and are a team that is our biggest goal is a happy home.
So I do most of everything. Now I am having a tougher time he has been helping more and insists on helping. He went to the grocery store yesterday and today sent me a text telling me to lay down and stop cleaning he will do it when he gets home.
Really we just both try our best. We don't keep score.

My partner doesnt help me but that's my choice, the way I see it is he works all day I stay home hes already been to work why should he come home to have to work more. Hes the main provider in our home so for me I do all the chores at home and tend to the kids.

Husband works from home right now. He has lots of conference calls though so usually I’m on my own with my almost 2 year old during the day. After work he’ll play with our son while I prepare dinner, then watch him while I do the dishes. Then I shower first, he showers then and bathes our son and I put our son to bed. He then works a little more.

My husband does help, but I do way more since he is bringing in most of the income.

When he gets home at 5 M-F he takes over entertaining our 3 year old while I get the house picked up and start dinner and get pre bed things going. On weekends we go 50/50. I’m pregnant so he usually gets up with our daughter and gives me and extra hour of sleep, makes the coffee, then we decide what we want to do for the day but we always do it together. Our weekends are time to be a family unit and he and I get alone time 8pm-11 or whenever we go to bed. Some days we clean or do house maintenance other days we laze around together. It just depends on everyone’s moods lol.

I don’t know what I’d do without my husband he’s so hands on with my son when he’s home and gives me a break so I can workout and clean. I’m super grateful. I’ve also gotten mastitis so many times and he will take care of the baby while I lay in bed which is much appreciated if you’ve ever had mastitis

My husband will help whenever I ask him too. But usually I don't ask unless I really need it because he works so hard,  when we had our son he would watch him for a few hours when he got off work so I could get some sleep but I did everything else and I am sure he will do the same with our new daughter when she comes but not sure I'll take the help this time around because he works alot more now than he did then and he worked alot back then. Just knowing he will help me if I ask if enough for me. I am so lucky to have him

Yup he helps 100%. He does everything outside like cleaning up the yard and taking out the trash too. And then inside he helps clean everything that needs cleaning, mostly on weekends is when we do a ‘semi deep’ clean. Plus any laundry that was added to baskets after Wednesdays because I wash on that day lol. He only works 4 days a week so 3 days we have stuff tidied up. We cook together or sometimes one of us does it. Depends on the day. 
We have 2 kids but thank goodness they’re 3 years apart... When my little was born, he helped a lot with watching them for me to cook or opposite he’d offer to do the cooking lol. And also when I had to feed baby, he would make sure to have time with my son.
