When and how did you tell your parents/ Mom?

Hey all Im wanting to know when you told your mother specifically that you were expecting? I’m talking about the real unsolicited advice type mothers! Lol 😂 this is a serious question as I am trying to plan a good time to tell my mother, she still think I’m not “grown” at 28 years old. Lol this is my first btw

1st baby: 13 weeks- As soon as we found out and had it confirmed. I didn’t know I was pregnant until 12 weeks. Called her on the phone and told her. My mom’s first reaction was “Oh no!! You’re not married!” I was 24 years old, engaged, and living with my now husband but she still didn’t take the news well. She came around eventually. 
2nd baby: 16 weeks. We didn’t find out until 10 weeks and since we lived out of town, we decided to wait until thanksgiving to tell my parents by having our 2 year old wear a big brother in training with a due date on it and tell them.  They were elated. 
3rd baby: 13 weeks. We did a cute video with shoes. Mom was shocked. Said Kaje thought we were done with kids and I’m old 🤷🏾‍♀️ I was 36. Dad was excited. Mom came around quickly. 
4th/current baby: TBD. We plan to do a cute announcement somehow at 13 weeks.

We told my family this past Sunday when I was 4+4. My second pregnancy and they didn’t even know we started trying already. My husband just came home from his deployment. We wanted it to be a complete surprise. This is my 8th pregnancy so it’s hard for them to get excited for awhile so it’s kinda weird right now.

I told my mum with my first pretty much as soon as I found out. I was only 18 at the time. She was a little disappointed but made it clear she will support me and baby. With my second and third I also told her as soon as I found out. With my 4th I told her when we decided to TTC. She was the second to find out that I am pregnant. Right after hubby.

I’m 29 (will be 30 in May) and my husband and I plan on telling my parents and in laws this weekend (also our first child)! I’ll be a few days past 4 weeks too! Either way I want their support no matter what happens 😊
